How To Get Around Portsmouth
Portsmouth isn't a huge city, most of the centre can be traversed on foot. If you are going further there is no public bike hire system yet.
The city's three train stations, Portsmouth Harbour, Portsmouth & Southsea and Fratton, will get you from the fun of the city to Gunwharf Quays.
The other transport service is the bus network, contactless payments are available but as yet there are no day travel cards for bus and rail.

Pompey sailor city! Portsmouth has grown up around the idea of incredible nights out and there is a huge selection fo things to do in Portsmouth at night. Admittedly a lot of that involves really good food and fantastic drinks, but you know what? We're ok with that. The city has some excellent cocktail bars and large nightclubs. There is also no shortage of restaurants, whatever your passion, from pizza to puddings, Portsmouth has it covered.

- Spinnaker Tower - One of the UK's tallest buildings, there is a viewing tower with breathtaking views over the Solent and South Coast.
- D-Day Story - The only museum purely dedicated to the incredible events surrounding D-day and the landings themselves.
- Tipsy Tea - Afternoon tea has never tasted better! As well as delicious cakes sandwiches and savouries, enjoy some tasty cocktails.
- Hotwall Studios - A collection of artists and artisans all under one roof creating paintings, photos, ceramics, textiles, jewellery and more.
- Powerboats - Get lost at sea with the help of these impressive powerboats. Massive spills and thrills on the high seas.
- Clarence Pier - Enjoy some old school seaside fun with classic rides, amusements and beach snacks at Clarence Pier funfair.

Best Bits of Portsmouth
Albert Road - Packed with independent shops, cool cafes bric-a-brac and curios, it's a great area to shop by day. You'll also find a few good restaurants in the evening.
City Centre - Like most UK cities, it's where you'll find the biggest bars and clubs as well as a rich and diverse selection of restaurants and street food.
Fratton - Mostly residential the area has undergone a mini-transformation and is trying to freshen up and become a bit boho.
Gunwharf Quays - During the day shoppers grab massive discounts on designer items, at night there is a great selection of bars and restaurants.
Hayling Island - The land that time forgot, Hayling Island is a time capsule that holds on to seaside towns of the past and is all the better for it!
