Pick up your bow and arrows and aim for success as you try your hand at this classic sporting challenge. If you're looking for a brilliantly competitive activity which is simultaneously great fun and puts your skills to the test, then archery hits the target.

You'll be provided with bows, arrows and wrist guards, before meeting your expert instructors. They'll introduce you to the equipment and teach you and your team of merry men/maidens how to master the art of shooting. This skilful sport requires balance, poise, accuracy, timing, and nerve. Draw on your primal instincts as you (precisely) shoot targets through the air and aim for top points!

Once you've received some top tips (how to draw a bow, spot the target and avoid shooting your opponents), and you feel confident that you're pointing in the right direction, it's showtime! If at first you don't succeed, you can give it another shot (literally). You'll have a few practice rounds to sharpen your shooting skills before letting the competition commence. We're sure that Robin Hood must've had a few attempts at some tree stumps when he first started out.

Once you get going, you'll soon see who is the Legolas/Katniss of the crew, and who couldn't hit a barn door with a banjo! Who amongst you has the keenest eye and deadliest aim? Now's your chance to show everyone what you're made of!

What's now a fantastically competitive sport was once a hunting device. This ancient activity has truly stood the test of time. In fact, the game is so good, that in 1312 King Edward II banned football so that people would return to their archery practice! Many subsequent kings joined the hype and banned football, even King Henry who was allegedly the first person to own a pair of football boots.
